Common Questions

Everything you need to know about our woodland and deer park experiences at Curraghmore Estate and Mount Congreve Gardens

Our guided walks range from 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on the route and your fitness level. We offer flexible options suited to families, corporate groups, and experienced hikers, so you can choose what works best for you.

Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are ideal for spotting deer and experiencing the woodland at its most vibrant. Summer brings lush foliage perfect for photography, while winter offers quieter trails with better visibility through the trees.

Absolutely! We design activities for all ages and abilities. Children from age 5 onwards really enjoy the deer park experiences, though younger ones can join family walks with shorter distances.

Sturdy walking boots or trainers with good grip are recommended, especially in wetter months. For guided walks, bring weather-appropriate clothing and a small backpack with water. Binoculars aren't essential but are great for birdwatching and spotting deer from a distance.

We have gentler routes available with less elevation change, though most woodland paths are naturally uneven. Contact us before booking and we'll recommend the best trails for your needs or discuss alternative experiences.

Yes, we can arrange a full-day experience that includes both. A typical day might feature a morning woodland walk at Curraghmore followed by an afternoon exploring Mount Congreve's formal gardens and plant collections.
